Light dependent Resistor (LDR)

 LIGHT DEPENDENT RESISTOR

 (LDR)

Components Required :

  1. Breadboard
  2. Module
  3. 9V Battery
  4. LED
  5. Buzzer
  6. Jumper Wires
  7. LDR Module

Connections:
  1. Connect the battery to respective positive and negative terminals of the breadboard.
  2. Connect the male to female jumper wires to the module. Negative terminal to ground(GND) and the positive terminal to UCC.
  3. Connect the D0 anywhere in the bread board.
  4. Take one terminal of the jumper wire ,connect it to the positive column of the breadboard and the other end to the positive terminal of the buzzer.
  5. Further, take another jumper wire and connect one end to the D0 (16th) column and other end of the jumper wire to the negative terminal of the buzzer.
  6. Similarly, connect the jumper wires for the positive and negative terminals of the LED respectively.

Working Principle:

  • Light dependent Resistor (LDR) works on the principle of photoconductivity
  • When light rays strikes the LDR module, the conductivity increases . Hence the LED and the buzzer turn on.
