Light dependent Resistor (LDR)
LIGHT DEPENDENT RESISTOR
(LDR)
Components Required :
- Breadboard
- Module
- 9V Battery
- LED
- Buzzer
- Jumper Wires
- LDR Module
Connections:
- Connect the battery to respective positive and negative terminals of the breadboard.
- Connect the male to female jumper wires to the module. Negative terminal to ground(GND) and the positive terminal to UCC.
- Connect the D0 anywhere in the bread board.
- Take one terminal of the jumper wire ,connect it to the positive column of the breadboard and the other end to the positive terminal of the buzzer.
- Further, take another jumper wire and connect one end to the D0 (16th) column and other end of the jumper wire to the negative terminal of the buzzer.
- Similarly, connect the jumper wires for the positive and negative terminals of the LED respectively.
Working Principle:
- Light dependent Resistor (LDR) works on the principle of photoconductivity
- When light rays strikes the LDR module, the conductivity increases . Hence the LED and the buzzer turn on.
