Rain Water Sensor
RAIN WATER SENSOR
Components Required:
- Rainwater Sensor
- Breadboard
- Module
- 9V Battery
- LED
- Buzzer
- Jumper Wires
Connections:
- Connect the battery to respective positive and negative terminals of the breadboard.
- Connect the male to female jumper wires to the module. Negative terminal to ground(GND) and the positive terminal to UCC.
- Connect the D0 anywhere in the bread board.
- Connect the module to the rainwater sensor.
- Take one terminal of the jumper wire ,connect it to the positive column of the breadboard and the other end to the positive terminal of the buzzer.
- Further, take another jumper wire and connect one end to the D0 (16th) column and other end of the jumper wire to the negative terminal of the buzzer.
- Similarly, connect the jumper wires for the positive and negative terminals of the LED respectively.
\Working Principle:
- When the water falls on the rainwater sensor, the circuit is completed and the buzzer and the LED turns on
- It basically works on the principle of conductivity. When water or rain comes in contact with the sensor, the sensor turns into a variable resistor and the amount of rainfall can be determined.
- These sensors are commonly used as automobile windshield wipers and automatic roof and window closure.
