Soil Moisture Indicator
SOIL MOISTURE INDICATOR
Components Required:
- Soil Moisture Indicator
- Breadboard
- Module
- 9V Battery
- LED
- Buzzer
- Jumper Wires
Connections:
- Connect the battery to respective positive and negative terminals of the breadboard.
- Connect the male to female jumper wires to the module. Negative terminal to ground(GND) and the positive terminal to UCC.
- Connect the D0 any where in the bread board (here 16)
- Connect the module to the soil moisture indicator.
- Take one terminal of the jumper wire ,connect it to the positive column of the breadboard and the other end to the positive terminal of the buzzer.
- Further, take another jumper wire and connect one end to the D0 (16th) column and other end of the jumper wire to the negative terminal of the buzzer.
- Similarly, connect the jumper wires for the positive and negative terminals of the LED respectively.
Working Principle:
- The soil moisture indicator gives us an idea about the water content present in the soil. If water is present, the LED will glow and the buzzer will turn on.
- It detects presence of water by which electricity is conducted and the buzzer and LED are turned on
