Soil Moisture Indicator

 SOIL MOISTURE INDICATOR


 Components Required:

  1. Soil Moisture Indicator
  2. Breadboard
  3. Module
  4. 9V Battery
  5. LED
  6. Buzzer
  7. Jumper Wires

Connections:
  1. Connect the battery to respective positive and negative terminals of the breadboard.
  2. Connect the male to female jumper wires to the module. Negative terminal to ground(GND) and the positive terminal to UCC.
  3. Connect the D0 any where in the bread board (here 16)
  4. Connect the module to the soil moisture indicator.
  5. Take one terminal of the jumper wire ,connect it to the positive column of the breadboard and the other end to the positive terminal of the buzzer.
  6. Further, take another jumper wire and connect one end to the D0 (16th) column and other end of the jumper wire to the negative terminal of the buzzer.
  7. Similarly, connect the jumper wires for the positive and negative terminals of the LED respectively.




Working Principle:

  • The soil moisture indicator gives us an idea about the water content present in the soil. If water is present, the LED will glow and the buzzer will turn on.
  • It detects presence of water by which electricity is conducted and the buzzer and LED are turned on
